High Tea is expensive and pretentious. Was really grossed out when a dog was allowed to walk around whilst we were “trying” to enjoy the high tea. The only saving grace was the lovely staff.

Booked a Baby shower here for January and we were all looking forward to it. However due to outbreak we decided to cancel event to be safe. The venue was very understanding and even offered to refund our deposit. At first I thought this was very generous of them as my communication with Sonia was relatively quick. Waited for my deposit to be refunded for a week but nothing. Tired to contact 2 weeks later thinking they must be busy won’t over think this but still no response, emailed again, no response.. Tired to contact again 3-4 weeks later still no response. It’s March now and still don’t have a refund back and no one from the venue has bothered to contact me.

Exceptional destination for small/ medium functions. Was there for a birthday, food was delicious and had a good variety of canapes. Staff were friendly, curteousa and professional. They also offer high tea. A fair bit of parking on the street. No parking on premises. Nice small garden area with fountains perfect for memorable pics.

The absolute worst service and to top it off, the staff was extremely racist and ignorant. Clearly they’ve never experienced an ethnic wedding so they thought they could treat our guests like dirt. People were not allowed to ask for drinks because the waiters had “better things to do”, staff showed attitude to the family of the bride and the groom and were just downright unpleasant to deal with.DO NOT book Gardens on Forest.

Took a friend here for high tea. The house is lovely as are the gardens. For me the high tea was a disappointment. The scones were as hard as a rock to break into and the rest of the offerings were pretty average. I guess that this is reflected in the price of $45 which makes it one of the cheapest high teas I’ve had. The service was efficient and came with a smile – very welcoming.

A beautiful journey, a trip down wonderland and yesteryear era! Stunning, furniture/fittings and lighting fixtures. The gardens are just delightful, well cared for and maintained. The statues are just amazing and some unique, making a walk around the gardens, that bit more special.The staff are very attentive, highly professional, engaging and respectful. Overall, food great, excluding a couple spreads that were not our ‘cup of tea’, yes a joke, a bad one at that LOL . To top off our day, was hearing about the owner of the home/business and her actions of giving back to the community

The price per person they charge is astronomical, the rooms itself haven’t been very well maintained or cleaned. Furniture seems to be very mismatched and there is no onsite parking for guests.

Extremely disappointed with the High Tea on Saturday 27 March. Sandwiches were nice but dry on the outside and cut unevenly. Quiches and other hot pastries were cold on the inside, dessert plate was below average packet desserts. I feel ripped off. Tea cup was also dirty.I’ve given 2 stars for the customer service and the ambience.

Lovely big old style room…think Louis XVI,sandwiches were delicious as were the sweets, only disappointment were the savouries…tasted shop bought and apart from chicken skewer didn’t rate the rest of the savouries. Service however, was excellent.

We cannot thank the management and staff at The Gardens on Forest enough.From start to finish for our daughter Alexandria’s wedding planning and execution Abraham and the wonderful team we met throughout our time there were brilliant.From the wonderful Chef and his team to the service staff and their excellent service you cannot do better. Their coordination with other party coordinators and suppliers was exemplary and the feedback from those business was only full of praise for Abraham and the team.The Garden Court room is outstanding and we fell in love with it from the start, the gardens are just so beautiful, the owner Sonia just an amazing lady and the people themselves just made our event so fantastic.Service and professionalism was brilliant, food was star class and the care factor from the team was second to none.My family cannot sing their praises enough and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts

I’m not normally one to post reviews, but I couldn’t resist with this absolutely stunning venue. My husband & I treated my parents to some delicious high tea earlier today & what an absolute treat it was. Impeccable service & delicious food, all catered to our dietary requirements flawlessly. I only wish I could give even more stars! Truly one of my favourite spots for high tea from among the many I’ve tried. 💖

We had our wedding at Gardens on Forest on Saturday 20th July 2019 and it was the BEST DAY EVER!From the moment we saw the venue we knew it was perfect for us – beautiful gardens out the front and Victorian/classic rooms inside. Our guests had such a great time and we received so many compliments about the venue, food and service.Thank you so much Teresa and Shannon – you made the whole planning process so easy and everything went so smoothly. Also thank you Joanna, Lee and staff for taking care of us on the day and always checking if we needed anything throughout the night.Would highly recommend!

Really nice venue, was just a pity that some of the staff wasn’t quite as friendly as I’d expected. Kept getting stared at by two of the staff who thought I may have been underage. (I’m 28, although due to my of facial hair and Asian genes, probably make me seem like I am 18)Wouldn’t have been offended had the lady just asked for my age, but instead just kept getting stare down at. Had to proactively tell the kind staff who figured I was over 18 that I am in fact 28 so they wouldn’t get into trouble.

We had a lovely high tea today celebrating a 75th birthday. The food and service was excellent and the scones were amazing!When I rang to enquire if the site was accessible they were incredibly helpful.Our group came from the South and Central Coast and the Southern Highlands and all found it well worth the drive.Thank you so much for making Margarets birthday special.

The floor staff were all so professional and kind and Maria was fantastic too.Shannon was amazing at the start when choosing the venue. She has a beautiful personality and made us feel extremely comfortable.And the same is also said for you. You were absolutely fantastic. Without you the day would not have been as wonderful as it was. Every request made you went above and beyond. All the extras you did for us is what made the day so beautiful. While we endeavored to make the most of the day, and our guests appeared to enjoy themselves, there were some disappointments that left us feeling let down with regards to the whole wedding experience.Shortcomings in terms of forgetfulness and unhelpfulness of management caused a good deal of additional stress for my partner and I in the weeks leading up as well as on the wedding day itself. Very short notice of midweek functions rubbished our plans and left us scrambling on the wedding day itself in an attempt to have our room ready on time.With regards to the venue, I would say that it is well kept and nice enough although if you are opting for a late wedding you may find yourself struggling for sunlight as the sun sets behind the building. In addition, the ceremony area is situated on a very busy 6 lane road and you may find the sound of traffic drowning out your ceremony as is did for us.I would recommend that you shop around. At $148 per head I would have expected better.

Dear Teresa and Gardens on Forest team,I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic day we had at Gardens on Forest last Sunday, and love to thank you and wish to pass our warmest regards and thank you to Lynn and Carol for their wonderful hospitality at Kim’s baby shower.The girls attended the event are still sharing their adoration for Gardens on Forest, the setup was also perfect for the event.Despite the rain, everyone had a wonderful time there. The rain though comes to think of it, puts a different atmosphere/scenery altogether for Gardens on Forest, beautiful in our eyes and very enjoyable to be in as well.I’m not sure when we’ll visit again, but I hope it won’t be too long; some of my friends already put their hands up wanting to attend the public high tea sometimes soon, still working out a time when everyone can come together.Thanks again for a truly beautiful and fantastic setup and reception.Warm regards,Jennifer Z

Gardens on Forest in Peakhurst is what wedding nightmares are made of. Overpriced, unliable staff, undelivered promises and very unorganised. Their customer service and performance dropped dramatically AFTER the contract was signed. It is upsetting when:1. After more than 6 months the Sales Manager, couldn’t even be bothered spelling my name correctly on SEVERAL occasions.2. We were told that we would receive 2 bottles on wine each table. Only 1 bottle was placed on the table on the day of our wedding. We paid for 2 bottles, only received 1.3. The staffs told us that we can bring in our own decorations/props and the venue will be able to set it up for us or we can set it up ourselves. A week before the wedding, we were told that the venue do not decorate the room unless the decorations were from them.4. We lost half an hour of our reception time due to their poor management. We got 4½ hours of reception time even though we paid for 5 hours. They provided no apologies and no compensation.5. We had to chase them for invoices, final details form and other updates.6. The Teresa said that the room would be completely set up on Monday. However, we had to come back 5 days later, the day of my wedding, to install final touches to the table centre pieces because they failed to set the room up on time.7. The white curtains were not installed in the garden ceremony area even though they said they will.8. We asked Teresa to place the menu on the tables. She said she will do it for us. No menu was placed on the tables.The 1 gold star goes to the food served and the wait staff who delivered it on the day.I would NOT recommend the Garden on Forests

Very nice venue. Beautiful gardens, great sitting area for guests, clean accessible toilets. Also, the staff were very helpful. There was food served on the venue after the wedding and it was quite good. Good ‘dancing floor’ for the people that wanted to sweat a bit of the drinking.

Thanks so much Gardens on Forest! Our wedding day was truly magical and I can’t say I would describe any other day of my life in that way. The reception was seamless, made possible by the wonderful staff. We definitely felt we could trust them and leave it all in their hands. Liasing with GOF over the last 6 months has been so easy, and they were genuinely willing to accommodate our specific requests. The venue is a stunning classic/heritage/ballroom style, also making it the perfect grounds for the bridal party photoshoot.

My wife and i tied the knot on 25th feb and we are so glad it was at gardens on forest. From the moment we walked we felt like it was the right place. The staff are pleasant to deal with and guided us through the entire process. It was so convenient to have the ceremony and reception there. The photos turned out great due to how beautiful the venue is. There was great coverage of the floor by waiting staff throughout the night and everything went to plan. I would highly recommend anyone with or without a budget to consider having their special day there.

Whilst weddings are considered stressful and a lot of planning involved, the Gardens on Forest staff take a lot of the stress away. I went to many venues before choosing The Gardens on Forest. Good pick up. My wedding went through well, and all guests are so so so impressed the whole wedding. It makes our wedding so memorable for me and my husband and all guests. Highly recommended to all couples looking for a wedding venue.

We had our wedding reception at the Gardens on Forest recently and my husband, myself and both our families are incredibly happy with how it all turned out. The management and staff are true professionals and planning the wedding with them right from the start was a very transparent, smooth and easy process. They accommodated all our special requests and were very flexible and understanding. Both the bridal party and all our guests were very well looked after and it was a fabulous day.

Could not have been more impressed with the wedding reception that we had at The Gardens last night. Dealing with true professionals just made things so easy. The food was great, the service was attentive and everything run like clockwork
